> ?Romancing the Rare Earths?, A History of ?The Enhancing Filter?®</A>
Michael, welcome to the list !
Robin, Thanks for posting the article about the didymium glass.
Liles, Thanks for telling about the enhancer filter for hematoxylin eosin !
-- I think Olympus Microscopes are the best for the money ! --
Joel, Thanks for the link about the special lens cap -- I need one of those
it would be handy for pre-flashing film! If I combined it with the Super
filter then I wonder if I selectively decrease contrast? Speaking of
preflashing film has anyone tried to duplicate that trick in Maniatus'
Molecular Cloning Manual
where one pre-flashes the X-ray plates with an orange filter gel strapped over
the photo flash unit to increase sensitivity in autoradiography. -- Petrush you
can probably tell
me, would it work? Should I try to preflash some techpan through an orange
filter and see if it boosts the sensitivity?
I found a really cool spectrum for this glass at the following URL
There was a really cool page with pro cinematographers sharing secrets and
filter combinations of didymium -- very interesting.
Has anyone called the person about the filter or the Super Enhancer version?
I'd like to try one of these "rose colored glasses" on my Zuiko 55mm f1.2 lens.
