[OM] Help with flash sync and 2X converter

I have a Pen FT.  I'm using it with the X setting.  What shutter speed do I
set to sync? 1/30 or 1/60 or any other?

Also, does anyone have any experience of using a Spirometer 2X converter for
the Pen; how does it stack up against a Vivitar?
