: I *think* what is trying to be communicated is that if the *actual* shutter
: speed (determined during exposure) is faster than 1/60, the flash will not
: fire but a correct exposure (according to the OTF meter) will be made with
: ambient light.

That's not what's meant. The sentence is also printed in the T20 manual on page
13 (check http://www.grue.net/olydocs/ ) describing Normal Auto Flash using the
T20 and the OM-1:

"Set the shutter speed to 1/30 sec.
The OM-1 synchronizes with electronic flash at the shutter speed of 1/60 sec. or
slower. However, to eliminate any possibility of accidental dial shifting, it is
recommended you use the 1/30 sec. setting."

The OM-2n manual also recommends using the 1/30 sec. setting using electronic
flashes other than the T20.

I think what's meant is that you could possibly, in the heat of the moment,
touch the shutter speed dial rather than the focus ring or aperture ring, and
set it to 1/125 without noticing it and ruin the rest of your flash pictures.
