(John Hermanson - Don't look! Just hide your eyes on this one.)

Check out this Ebay item. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=145979845

Here's the interesting text on this OM-1 "This poor little camera is currently dead. Actually it was killed. Probably had a simple mechanical jam, and then some idiot tried to "fix" it with WD40 or the like. The inside has been saturated. No meter action, No wind, No shutter action."

This sounds like what I do to my brass sprinkler when it sticks. I just spray WD-40 on it while it's running until the sticking stops. I guess this guy thought his OM-1 could benefit from the same treatment. Although I'm sure there's been worse stories, this one is up there.

John - One day when you have a minute to think, you'll have to give us your best stories on what-came-in-the-door-for-repair. I'm sure they'd be good for a few grins; or gasps of horror, depending on the situation
