Any dunking is probably too late for the electronic circuits. Salt water conducts very nicely, frying integrated circuits and the like.

Alcohol for cleaning was reported by a professional camera service in New York. It dries more quickly. I expect the mechanical and electronic parts of the shutter curtain are damaged the minute salt water gets inside the case.

Fresh water baths, IMMEDIATELY. Like you said, probably too late now. No
harm trying, though. Main thing is to get the salt out: corrosion of
internals (the Titanium can take it ;-))
