A friend and I used to stalk Sage Grouse during their mating season. He
carried a portable Nakamichi and recorded in Stereo, I had the OM1 and
tripod. FYO, the best time to go was about 3 am the morning of the
(old) spring time change. We headed north about 2 hrs out of Laramie,
WY.
His Nakamichi was a replacement for one that took a wave while recording
on the beach in Washington. Insurance covered it all!
