Yes, that's true.  I took three (L, C, R) just to see what would happen as
I had never done this before.  However, as soon as I added the 2x
Teleconverter between the shift and the body (for two of them) the far left
and right no longer overlapped and the middle third of the center frame was
needed.  A teleconverter will multiply the amount of shift by its factor.
Made for a wider panoramic.

Just getting ready to load them up into a page; when it's done I will send
the URL for it to the list.

BTW, PhotoVista (by LivePicture) did a fantastic job of stitching them
together and blending them.  When it was done I could not tell where the
seams were even at very high magnification (to a point where I was looking
at distinct pixels).
