I've got all three, and I feel they all have excellent image quality.
Notwithstanding Gary's excellent tests, I feel the 85 -250 has a slight edge
in image quality up to about 200mm. Beyond that, I think the nod goes to
the 50-250. As far as handling, it depends on your style of shooting. I
shoot mostly with a tripod so again, the favorite is the 85-250 with its
excellent mount. The 50-250, in these circumstances, must be used with care
as it is a long, heavy (relatively), and unsupported lens. But for hand
held, action shooting, the 50-250 is the best. Sharp, compact, and
outstanding range. For the lightest weight and brightest finder, the 65-200
wins. It is also a little "snappier" than the 50-250, in my experience, and
equal in these terms to the 85-250. Build quality of all three are
excellent.

Hope that helps,

Regards,
