I use water proof bags type "SeaLine" (or something like that, they are
made by the company that makes those therma-rest matrasses). These bags are
100% water- and dust-proof (I used them in the Sinai and other dusty
places), come in all sizes, colors, ... I use these bags inside a normal
small backpack with some closed-cell foam stuffed between my OM-goodies.
These bags even float if you let sufficient air inside. I bought them in
outdoor-stores, not in camera shops. I think they are used mostly for
canoeing or rafting.
