According to the HTML 4.0 specifications, the value _top (target=_top) should do
this:
"_top:
The user agent should load the document into the full, original window (thus
cancelling all other frames). This value is equivalent to _self if the current
frame has no parent."
If this works (I haven't tried it yet), I think this is preferrable.
