I was at Border's bookstore this afternoon as was looking at the work by
Muench, Dykinga, & Larry Ulrich. I may have to lower that 1./36 to some
lower figure (I'm pretty depressed.) But they usually use large format to get
that special wide angle/near-far look.

Then I saw Nature's Best, which is an annual photo glossy of both
professional and amateur photogs. Most of it is shot with N**** and C**** and
some of it pretty spectacular. There was a lot of use of 300/2.8 lens. All of
the 35mm work was very sharp. There was one Olympus entry from a Larry
Miller. He used an OM-1 with 28/2.8 with a equatorial drive to take a time
exposure of the stars and then stopped down to expose a large rock arch with
his flash. It was an amazingly creative shot. Do we know this guy?
