I am being made to eat my own words. I agree in most applications
auto-focus is not needed , but I am speaking from a postion of shooting
sports proffesionally. Where one shot can make the difference when your
competing with other Pro's shooting the big name brands.

Now for most folks this does not apply and the simple point and shoot camera
will work. But what it tells me is Olympus has lost it's desire to focus
attention on the "PRO MARKET"

This is getting sillier and sillier. I suppose that the Leica R8 is also not focussed on the pro market? Nikon F3HP? What about all the manual focus Contax gear out there? Why do people always seem to equate 'pro' with AF?

<snip>
If anything, I would like to see an auto-focus pro-level camera that has
250th flash sync , flash auto bracketing , shutter priority and parts that
are available.

I would even accept if they farmed out the work to a Cossina or even Canon ,
if they did not want to invest into the development , for I realize this is
where the cost's get big.

Then why don't you buy a canon or a Nikon and get *exactly* what you want? You could hardly say that the pro nikon lenses are not up to scratch compared to Olympus. Is Flash autobracketing really that necessary? How many cameras can you name that have it? I can't really picture it being a big selling point.

I want to be able to keep the same equipment and I am trying to generate
interest and enthusiasm to those Olympus user's who are out here. But , if
the argument is , who cares! , the battle is lost and Olympus would have no
desire to pursue it.

If you want to keep the same equipment then keep it. Don't go looking for things that will never come.

What will we do if Olympus discontinues the OM-3ti and the OM-4Ti? No one
really seems to be buying them because of the cost. Remember this is my
opinion and what I feel.

I suppose that's about as valid as asking 'what would nikon users do if they discontinued the F3?'.
