Of the 2 gray wires, one is a 2 conductor shielded cable.  The shield of
this wire goes to the bare metal clip which pushes down into the shoe (this
is the ground contact). The white inner wire from the shielded cable goes to
the small circuit board.  Looking at the small circuit standing up as a "T"
hape, the white wire goes into the small hole on the right.
On the other edge of the board there are 2 small holes.  The front hole is
for the brown wire, the back hole is for the white wire.
