: My sister has a bay window in
: her living room that throws a very nice, diffuse light. I'd like to add
: a hair light using the T20 flash. I have an OM-2 (not 2n) but I am
: lacking the Shoe 3. What hardware do I need, *precisely*, to use the
: flash as a hair light?

A PC cord and a third party (Hama, Kaiser) hot shoe that has a PC connector and
a tripod screw hole. T20 on tripod, manual mode. Camera at 1/60, manual mode.
Set aperture according to available light on face, use a ND filter when
necessary. You may want to wrap a cylinder made out of cardboard around the
flashhead to reduce its angle, converting it to a spot flash light. You can
experiment with the intensity of the hair light effect by using different flash
distances or by putting semitransparent paper in front of the flash head.

Alternatively, you can go the more expensive Oly way and buy the TTL Auto
Connector 3, TTL Auto Connector T20, and TTL Auto Cord 5m. Biggest problem is
finding the TTL Auto Connector T20; an alternative is the T32 which has the TTL
socket built in. There are however no specific benefits from using TTL OTF
exposure just for this hairlight.
