it's an om-2n, so it does do ttl flash control.

yeah, that's what I was afraid of, thanks. I remember from doing weddings
with my wife that we were able to vary the amount of fill flash with the
Sunpak 555 flashes and her mamiya 645 cameras.

But, I think the T20 does have an auto mode for use on regular non-ttl shoe
mount cameras, since the "o" in "olympus" on the front of the flash appears
to be a hole - possibly for a sensor? If that's the case, how does the
flash know what the film speed is if it is used on say an OM-1? 

I get the feeling that the T20 is intended only for use in ttl mode on the
later  "n" cameras?
