OM-4: Brass body caps and previous revision electronics
OM-4T: Titanium body caps and newer revision electronics (U.S. market)
OM-4ti: Same as an OM-4T (Non-U.S. market)

In general, the reason for the name/model differences between U.S. and
non-U.S. markets is an effort by manufacturers to discourage gray-market
import and distribution in the U.S. This has to do with distribution
rights and contracts governing them through wholesale distributors and
retail stores. Others (retailers?) buy outside the U.S., and import into
the U.S. themselves to undercut the "official" exclusive distributor(s) in
the U.S. on pricing.

Warranty coverage is also generally different between U.S. and gray-market.
Most camera manufacturers will force you to send grey-market items to
international factory repair for warranty; the U.S. based factory repair
won't touch them (at least on warranty; don't know about post-warranty).

I won't get into what's ethical, fair or "right" on this issue, just that
it exists.
