Any AF camera has this loss of light due to the needs of the AF system.

Much brighter with slower lenses (and better to focus), but no big
difference with fast lenses (and more problems to focus).

I haven´t found AF that much of an aid to let me forget there drawbacks,
the big, heavy and bulky cameras and lenses, their inferior mechanical
quality which affect manual focusing, the need and waist of time to control
another automatism.

One real advantage seems to me the new IS lenses, but who knows how it works
in real world photography.
