You are entirely right of course WJ.  My excuse is that the pair of blowtorches
I have my hands on the stick and throttle, and there is an escape system that
depends only on my pulling a handle (in good time).  And as for "places that we
are not wanted": that's just guesswork on your part (bit of dry British humour
if I may be allowed a little ;-)).

Sad bit: a colleague of mine did not pull the handle in time (if at all) last
Thursday.  The RAF lost a Tornado, complete with young crew, in Northumbria,
reason as yet unkown and difficult to fathom.  I had begun to feel that we had
sort of got out of the habit of losing Tornado bombers ... but, we've said our
prayers.
