Actually, if you read my original post carefully, you will note that I, a PC
user, expressed a measure of suprise that everything worked :-)

SCSI is probably peaking, but it looks like Macs are leading the way 
with other technologies, also. The scanner mailing list I listen to 
is full of PC types cursing USB, while the Mac types are just using

This wouldn't be cuz there are ten times as many PC users as Mac users, would
it? And therefore ten times as many problems? Anyway, I am interested in this
list. How does one subscribe?
