Thanks Chuck,

I've made a little chart (I think I lost it somewere, but it's all in my
head now) with the right exposure for each lens/flash/magnification
combination. I only need do vary on this when I have a subject in a very
bright surrounding, where the surrounding reflects a lot of light on the
subject (bug on a white flower ...). I think it did cost me only two films
to make this chart. This chart is really very "flat": with most lenses the
setting doesn't vary more a single stop. F.i: with the 38 mm, T28-twin and
Velvia, at 65 mm extension I get F16-1/3 and at 116 mm extension I get
F11-1/3. I think this because of the "reverse square rule" that Shaw writes
about in his close-up book.

I find it near impossible to focus by changing the extension. Since I work
without a tripod, moving the whole rig is much easier.

Daan.
