You might also want to try a diamond file, available at cosmetics counters.

I've been told bad things about using anything more abrasive than erasers.
The filings can get into places they shouldn't be.

WARNING:  Do *NOT* use 70 0sopropanol (also sometimes sold as "rubbing
alcohol") as a substitute -- it's 30% water, and probably not a good thing
to get in your Winder.
