I'll often take two bodies, one b/w and one colour. If one were to die I'd
just have to choose... On a recent trip to Paris I took just my OM-4,
21/3.5, 28/2.8, 50/1.4 and 35-105 zoom. O, and some spare batteries :-)
In my experience, the reliability of the OM series is such that I feel
quite comfortable with just one body much of the time. But if it's a trip
I'm unlikely to be able to repeat then I'll always take a backup, just in
case. I remember a photo holiday a few years ago in the SW USA; one of the
participants had a Pentax 645 which locked up on him on the first day. He
had to resort to a P+S for the rest of the trip...

As long as I have at least 4 SR44s in the bag, I'm OK with just one body :-)
