: Based on what I can
: afford at this time, here's what I have been looking at:
:
: 135 f/3.5 Zuiko (49)
: 100-200 f/5 Zuiko (49)
: 50-250 f/4-5.6 Tokina AT-X (55)
: 70-210 f/3.5 Vivitar Series 1 Macro (67)
: 75-200 f/2.8-3.5 Sigma (67)
: 70-210 f/4.5 Vivitar MC Macro (52)
: 100-300 f/5 Vivitar Close Focus (62)
: 80-200 f/4.5 Kiron (55)
: 80-200 f/4 Tokina RMC
: 75-205 f/3.8 Vivitar (58)

Tokina AT-X, Vivitar Series 1, Kiron and Angenieux are top notch in third party
lenses.

>From this list, I would go for the AT-X 50-250/4-5.6 without a second thought.
Fine filter size, too. Combined with just one wide angle (28 or 24mm) it's all
you
really need. Fine alternative for the elusive Zuiko 50-250/5.
If this lens is too heavy or when you need more speed then the Vivitar S1
70-210/3.5.
If you really want to travel light then the 100-200/5 Zuiko.
Finally the range and speed of the Vivitar 100-300/5 sound appealing too.

: What non-Zuiko lenses do you use when necessary?

Alternatives for lenses that Olympus never made, or made too heavy and too
expensive (like the Zuiko 350/2.8).
Examples: Sigma 21-35/3.5-4.2, Vivitar 28-90/2.8-3.5, Tokina AT-X 35-70/2.8,
Tokina AT-X 28-135/4-4.6, Tokina AT-X 80-200/2.8, Tokina SZ-X 60-300/4-5.6,
Angenieux 70-210/3.6, Tamron 300/2.8...
