As far as colour balance is concerned, that is what I have found too.  Seems
to be a lot of variation between brands and also some within brands.  I
think the reason for this is that the manufacturers don't have to worry as
much about colour balance because it can be corrected at the printing stage.
I have also noticed that colour balance seems to go "off" with over/under
exposure.
