Hi Dave,
The images are very nice but, yes, they are gargantuan -- for the purpose.
You can probably do "save as" in PS and pull the quality slider all the way
to 0 (that's right, zero) and still have a great looking image. I would
suggest experimenting though, as you're likely to get moire patterns in the
blue sky if you compress too much. I'd recommend re-saving the file at a
lower quality and checking it by selecting File > Open Page in Netscape of
IE just to see how it looks in a browser. PS seems more subtle and
refined than Netscape or IE at viewing images. Unfortunately you view the
web with Netscape or IE.
