Excerpt from a table in the "Fuji Professional Data Guide '98":

"FUJICHROME Digital Output Film [DOF]
  - Digital output film designed for use with digital film recorders.
  - Suited to a wide range of applications, ranging from advertising
 work to scientific research.
  - Provides excellent gradation, faithful colour reproduction, high
image quality and excellent resistance to recorder-produced flare."

The last phrase raises the questions of what Fuji sacrificed to
make this so, and when film recorders will get decent optics.
Unlike for Velvia, they make no claim of excellent resolution.
Of course, being Texan, you're creating big trannies.
