my original post regarding my problems with an -2s and -4 may not have stated that my problems were when using the self timer. i was using 50 and 100 speed film, so handholding in the morning in yosemite was difficult. the temperature was around 30 degrees, which doesn't seem too cold for proper camera use. and people all around me were taking pictures just fine with various cameras. i guess the best solution is an -4 for metering, and using a -1 for self timer, with the mirror locked up. maybe the -4t works better in the cold than the -4s, but i have had really poor luck with all my OM's in the cold. maybe it's just me........?

but i did own an EOS-1, and i lived in fairbanks, alaska, where it is very, very, very cold. and it always worked fine. the lithium batteries didn't last long, but the camera worked in the cold weather.

last question: has anyone else had problems with an OM-4 locking up when around moisture? is it possible for there to be a short when the camera is in moist conditions???

thanks..
