Dirk -

I think the OM2(n) will fire at 1/60 or faster (with
ASA 100?) if the exposure requires it with the meter
switch in the off position.

There is a little LED which dumps light onto the
metering diode. When the meter switch is off, it
shines brightly enough that the second curtain will
close after no more than about 1/60 sec (might be
closer to 1/125 - not sure, and it will vary with
ASA). If the scene is bright enough to require a
faster shutter speed it should do that just fine.

If the meter switch is on, this LED shines much less
brightly, but enough to limit exposures to some tens
of seconds.

This behavior could be modified by changing the
resistors that limit current to the LED at the
different switch positions.
