If you are not running a virus scanner, the major vendors are offering 90
day
evaluations free as a courtesy during the Y2K period. There is some concern
that
hackers will use the general confusion to attack systems. Viri are being
reported with execution dates of DEC 25 (Prillisa) and JAN 1, for instance.
BTW,
the assumption that you must execute a program to become infected is no
longer
true. Bubbleboy will infect merely by highlighting the infected email's
subject
in your in your in box.
