Hello Tony and All,

I have been afraid this would happen for quite some time; but the
writing is on the wall. It seems that Olympus and silver halide
emulsions will soon part ways. I have an OM-1, OM-2n, and OM-10, with a
nice collection of glass, but have taken to shooting my paying gigs with
Nikon equipment, as though pricey, I can get the components I want from
Nikon without staging a minor scavenger hunt. I used my OM gear when I
was working full time for the paper; was considered the odd-ball by my
Nikon and Canon toting associates. But editors want art, and don't care
a tinkers damn whether it was taken with a pinhole camera or a
Hasselblad. The only practical downside was in shooting OM, I didn't
have the luxury of being able to borrow from the paper's Nikon based
long lens collection.
My latest acquisition is a Olympus C2000Z digital camera, and have
assembled a "digital darkroom", and am convinced that this is the wave
of the future. The C200Z is a great camera, and the 330 printer is a
fine companion. This gear is as fine as frogs hair, but the "state of
the art" will improve. Hopefully the battery technology will improve
quickly, as the amount of useful walking and shooting time with the
batteries that are currently available are pitiful.
        Adios amigos y amigas.
