Have you tried the Zuiko 300/4.5 ? besides the difficult in handling (due to non
IF design), I personal feel this lens is very sharp and excellent in color. You
also forgot to mention the 180/2 which should possess the same high quality
as the 250/2 and 350/2.8.

I didn't forget the 180/2-- it just isn't a popular lens as it is heavy
for only 180mm focal length.
the 300/4.5 is an older design telephoto that doesn't focus very closely.
it gets even more unwieldy when you have to mount it on an extension tube.
there's nothing wrong with it per se, it just can't rival a later design
lens like the 300/4 Nikkor EDIF.
