After reading posts here and Gary's lens tests It seems that the way to the
sharpest pictures possible is with an OM2000 and a good Zuiko lens at it's
sweet spot.
Using good tripod techniques and the self timer with aperture and mirror pre
fire the 2K has improved the performance of several lenses.
If the spot meter is accurate you get a bonus.
For $159 or so the body is sure worth it.

What other OM bodies have aperture and mirror pre fire?
And a short timer elapse. (is that the right word)?

==========Although, the OM2000 is not built like my OM1 and OM1n, I really
like the
camera. I bought one a few months ago for use as a spare, and I've grown to
like it. And, the purportedly fair-to-poor Cosina zoom is actually very
acceptable if you keep it around and F8 to F11 - which is easy to do with
fast print film. Personally, I think the OM2000 kit @ $199 or whatever, is
a
steal.
