Does anyone have any experience with a Microtek slide scanner? The one I'm thinking about is under $500 and has been suggested to me by one person who hasn't used one yet.

Steve,

I have bee following this thread for a while. I am also looking for a decent
quality and decent
priced scanner. However, as I browsed the scanner products section in the
Olympus Japan
website at http://www.olympus.co.jp/ it indicates that the ES-10S model scanner
has
terminated its production. I noticed the notes last December.
