Yea bob you're right I mixed up two questions that I had, so I will ask the
second now:


How do you folks tighten the shoe 4, mine recently fell off the camera while
I was on a walk. Is there a special tool or do you hand tighten it?

Don't quite get the connection between the subject and the question
here.....  A better subject would be "Mirror lockup questions....."

Mirror lock up is for situations where you must minimize all vibrations,
like long time exposures.  Even though the mirror is damped, if you lock
it up and then start the exposure, the mirror vibrations will not be
there since the mirror isn't moving as part of the exposure process.
