One lubricant you could try is 'Super Lube'. Comes in a spray can with a
fine tube for getting in tight places. This stuff is a fully
synthetic teflon based grease. It goes in with a solvent so penetrates
then the solvent evaporates leaving a film of the grease behind - not a
sticky muck like WD40.
