Any chance you tested a dud 24mm f2? One with a reversed or out of
alignment element or such.
I find it peculiar it should be as bad as the test revealed. The 18mm
f3.5 21mm f2, 21mm f3.5 and 28mm f2 all seem to be very good lenses so
why would the 24mm f2 be comparatively poor. If oly designers could get
the others right why would they get this one wrong - doesn't seem logical
to me.

The 24/2 I once purchased new had very pronounced barrel distortion,
much too much for a $700 lens, so I returned it for a refund immediately.
I don't know about Gary's.
