Possible reasons:
(1) May be related to the U.S. bidders who might be spending their
anticipated tax refunds? A lot of witholding statements for 1999 just went
out. For many, doing an estimate of whether or not there will be a tax
refund is not that difficult.
(2) Cabin fever in the northern hemisphere snow (rust <g>) belts?
(3) The Lunar eclipse?
That's it, it must be the eclipse! Driving everyone to try to eclipse
everyone else's bids.
