To answer your question, I did try a pair of the so called "reading
contacts", not sure if this is the same thing as the monovision type. I
found that my distance vision suffered. I was told these were more for
those who were farsighted.

it has a 55uccess rate as the brain in those people adjusts to make it
happen. You may want to try it. i have had great success in fitting people
who are tolerant to change, as it takes a couple of days to get used to.
