I think Olympus' plan is to keep the OM system as a sort of Japanese answer
to Leica for those who prefer manual focus and (fast) prime lenses instead
of zooms. 
I think the introduction of the OM 3 Ti and the OM 2000 proves that they
are going to sustain the OM range, but it is strange that they won't tell
precisely what the policy is. 
I certainly don't like the thought of standing ten years from now with an
unrepairable OM 4 Ti.
