Thanks Ron. Had a similar reaction. When I first looked at it I was a
little disappointed, but put a 4x6 on my desk at work anyway. By the end
of the day I really liked it.

There's a cute story about the fence. You would have to see it completely,
just two sections, not connected to anything, and angled oddly toward the
creek bed. It's not there by accident, but didn't know that until I showed
the picture to a long-time Kokomo photographer last night. He started
laughing and asked if I knew the story about the fence. "Nope, but it sure
was convenient!" He said the fence was strategically placed there at local
photographers' request some time ago to use the view as a backdrop for
outdoor portraits!

Here's a photo of one of the thugs we hired to steal it:

His arm got stiff carrying it and it's been in that position ever since.
Better bring a *big* truck for it. It's 94 feet long. Maybe you can hire
the same thugs we did to cart it back. That guy lives in Indianapolis; he
has several buddies in Muncie.

More seriously, it's a single span, Smith Truss #3 made by the Smith Bridge
Company. It was moved from Vermont, *Indiana* (just north of Kokomo) to
the park in 1958 to preserve it.
