=============================
eBay has a serious problem with overseas fraud, apparently. There are
certain categories to watch; computer parts, antiquities, Native
American stuff, coins & stamps. The article said watch out for items
said to be in the U.S. but whose image is hosted on an overseas server
(however you do that)
============================

whois -h www.networkingsolutions.com <hostname>

will tell you where a host registered in the US is located, and to
whom it is registered.

if you don't have a "whois" client program, you can just
connect to www.networkingsolutions.com and use their
interactive interface to get the same info, albeit with
a little more work.
