What??!! Are you saying that the top and bottom cover of the "T" version
Olympus bodies are titanium plated aluminum??? After a long thread in
recent past with many touting the virtues of the "T" bodies over the
non-T (strength to weight, protection, etc.) I find this really hard to
believe. Aluminum as thin as the top and bottom cover materials on an OM
body wouldn't protect things inside much better than a beer
can...titanuim plating won't help either. I was under the impression the
"T" bodies are natual wirh some kind of paint or clear-coat and it is
this paint rubbing away that exposes the natural titatium color.
Besides, brassing is cool I think. Much like I like vintage cars that
are raced and run hard, I like my cameras to not be "garage (er camera
bag) queens."
