[OM] "brassing" of top plate

Subject: [OM] "brassing" of top plate

================
This is similar to my 4T but, because titanium is so hard, the strap rings,
made of stainless I guess, have deposited themselves on the titanium giving
it a shiny metallic color. It was the steel sticking to the Ti rather than
the Ti wearing off and showing something underneath.

Ok, I can believe this. That's the only explanation I've seen here
so far consistent with both the evidence I saw on one particular
OM-4T and the top plate being solid Ti.

I'm sorry if I touched a sensitive nerve in some readers. it won't
happen again, though, or at least not for a good while, as I've
unsubscribed from the list at this time.

Cheers,

Joseph
