The Manfrotto 3401 has some functions somewhat like the Benbo, it is just a
lot more conventional.
The 3401 center column can be set in either a vertical or a horizontal
position.
The column can also be inverted.
The legs spread out to completely flat in 3 stop positions.
The column comes in two sections, one ~18", the other ~6" (I'm not home to
measure).
The columns can be attached or used separately.
Manfrotto 3401 is ~1 lb. less weight than the Benbo #2

Seems Benbo is de riguer for macro in the field; Bogen doesn't reach down
low or was it just not mentioned? Any other Qs or specific?
