Hi All,
I've been thinking about gutting out my old Oly 2x-a teleconverter and
making a 50mm(approx)auto extension tube. The reason for this idea instead
of 2 regular 25mm auto tubes is its ability to accept a regular tripod
collar. The groove under the rubber band is perfect for keeping everything
straight and allows good rotation. All you need to do is add a couple of
extra strips of tape on the inside of the collar.

I was wondering if anyone knows if I can take out the lens and metal
brackets and still have function of the levers. It appears that the levers
are resting in the slots but I am not sure. Any help is appreciated.
