Joseph posted the most concise method yet:  "a Zuiko doesn't have to say MC
to be multicoated.  hold the lens under a light fixture and note the
sequence of colors of reflections.  If you see green or blue, it is a
multicoated lens, but if you see only
purple and/or amber/sand colored reflections, it is single coated."
