I have!
This is not the same list I joined 2 years ago.
We used to have a feel for how much OT was enough.
Now it is a forum for just about any interest a member may
share with others. There is no more discrete self censoring.
Remember when a few very clever members would have us all
in stitches with a OT posting? Then it was back to OM.
Now it seems half the list are either frustrated comedians or
"I know more about cars, trucks, audio, electronics, politics, etc.
than you do" types.
Where are those great insightful OM posts of the past?
Well I am aware of several wonderful contributors that
are now lurkers or occasional posters because of all the wasted
time it takes to wade through the trite off topic threads that
fill our mail boxes each day.
Rick is right on. How come we run a new lister out of town
because of his enthusiasm for the list and relevant subject matter
but we tolerate these lengthy threads about OT subjects.
