Try a cheap Vivitar 2X converter on the early tamron macro lens. It gives
excelent results, better than extension tubes or close-up lens, and the lens
to subject distance stays the same. (shame about the 2 stops of light loss,
but you do loose light as you rack the lense out to it's close focus setting
anyway.
The Tamron FF converter is too expensive and fiddly to fit.
