Actually the US FAA required the flight deck to be off limits with the
door closed and locked as a result of the hijackings that occured
several years ago.   Unless you are flight crew you may not be on the
flight deck of a "major" airliner after it leaves the ramp.  It is a
pity because the flight crew has, by far, the best view.  As far as why
pictures are not allowed, I do not know, probably something to do with
lawyers and liability.
