John,
Sorry, I missed this first time around.  There is foam along the top middle
3/4's.  I can't see any difference in channel depth that would prohibit
going to the ends, just saving money on the manufacturing end?  on that
small amount of foam?  And why just the top channel?  The bottom channel
looks identical in measurements.  The yarn I added is the same dimension as
the foam already present, so hopefully this won't add any undue light leaks.
Right now I have the back seams covered in black tape, after I shoot AND
rewind this roll I'll develop it tomorrow at school.  Interesting that the
color negs from last month aren't streaked along the edges.  I'll shoot a
roll of color to compare (maybe the leak is very recent).
